Brand-Rex Appoints Aldo Strawbridge to Top Regional Post for Middle East

Aldo Strawbridge Brand-Rex Middle East Regional Sales DirectorFollowing recent growth in the Middle East, data networking solutions provider Brand-Rex, is delighted to announce the appointment of Aldo Strawbridge as Regional Sales Director.

Taking up his post in August, Aldo will be based out of the Brand-Rex Regional HQ in Dubai. With partners in 12 countries throughout the region, he expects to spend much of his time visiting customers over the first few months to gain a detailed understanding of their needs and challenges.

Aldo Strawbridge said, “Information and communication technology is at the heart of every organisation’s activities. In the Middle East we are seeing a significant increase in demand. A major driver is the requirement for new infrastructure solutions resulting from the convergence of CCTV, building management, security and access control systems to Internet Protocol (IP). Instead of deploying five or six separate cabling networks through the entire building, just a single converged network is needed. This leads to significant cost savings and improved system integration. Brand-Rex has been developing IP/Ethernet structured cabling solutions for over two decades and is at the forefront of converged network solutions.”

Aldo will join Brand-Rex from NEC UK where he previously held the role of Director of Sales and Service Operations. Aldo has been involved in the telecoms industry for over 35 years and brings with him experience of the Middle East market, having previously worked for Lucent Technologies in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Brand-Rex takes centre stage at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama

Guildhall Milton Court1, Brand-Rex, the leading supplier of copper and fibre optic based network infrastructure solutions for enterprises, data centres and extreme environments, is proud to announce that its products and systems have been used extensively within the Guildhall School of Music & Drama’s new £90m Milton Court facility in London.

Offering aspiring musicians, actors, stage managers and theatre technicians a creative and stimulating environment in which to develop as artists and professionals, Milton Court is a state-of-the-art teaching and performance building and, as such, it requires the best possible network infrastructure for its staff, students and visitors.

The Guildhall School of Music & Drama’s Head of IT, Richard Antonel, was charged with overseeing the implementation of a network infrastructure that could provide the highest possible levels of performance and future proofing. He explained, ‘The scope was to install a high specification structured cabling system that would last in excess of 25 years. We decided to install 10Gbit/s to every outlet. After carrying out research I decided the Brand-Rex 10GPlus Category 6A system would offer the best combination of value, reliability and longevity.’

Chris Chandler, technical manager at Brand-Rex, who advised on the system design commented, ‘For this environment a shielded foil twisted pair (F/FTP) low smoke zero halogen (LSOH) cable was the most appropriate option due to the quantity of electrical services in the building that could cause electromagnetic interference (EMI). Over 150km of it was used to configure 2,000 10GBASE-T channels and, in addition, singlemode (OS2) and multimode (OM4) optical fibre from our FibrePlus range has been used in the campus wide area network (WAN) and internal backbones respectively.’

A truly converged multimedia environment, as well as running data, voice and video conferencing applications, the IT infrastructure at Milton Court has to be able to handle the many radio and TV broadcasts that will be made from the new facilities as well as supporting the Guildhall’s recording studios for sound and video. It will also facilitate a large digital signage system, as well as wireless networking to accommodate the increasing preference for ‘bring your own device’ (BYOD) functionality amongst students. It is also used to network a building management system (BMS) that operates access control, CCTV, and heating and ventilation.

As a third party tested and approved cabling system, 10GPlus not only meets and exceeds the performance outlined in EIA/TIA for Category 6A, but also meets and exceeds requirements in ISO/IEC for Class EA. The 10GPlus system therefore has unparalleled levels of certification and is manufactured in accordance with ISO 14001 and ISO 9001:2008.

Antonel is confident that Milton Court’s communications infrastructure will fully support the technologies of the future. He concluded, ‘Milton Court will open in September and I know that its network infrastructure will perfectly complement and enhance the outstanding quality of the Guildhall School of Music & Drama’s training and the success of its graduates.’

Second Only To Dell For Brand-Rex in Green IT Awards 2013

Kennedy Miller kilted With Brand-Rex And Customers Celebrate Green-IT Awards SuccessAt the 2013 Green IT Awards in London, Network Infrastructure leader Brand-Rex was named runner-up to Dell in the Manufacturer of the Year category.

“Being named ‘runner-up manufacturer of the year to a giant company with Dell’s resources is a massive achievement and firmly places Brand-Rex in the league of the world’s most environmentally advanced companies,” said Brand-Rex environmental development manager Kennedy Miller. “This places us far in advance of any other company in the copper and fibre optic network infrastructure sector.”

Brand-Rex, which also won a Green Apple award in September last year, became the first cabling company in the world to achieve Global Carbon Neutral status for its worldwide operations back in 2011 and in 2012 it was the first company in its sector to launch carbon-neutral products.

The Green IT Awards 2013, which were supported by the UK Government’s department of Energy and Climate Change, set out to showcase and reward the organisations that have made the most significant contribution to improving the IT industry’s environmental performance over the preceding 12 months.

Amongst the judging criteria winners were required to demonstrate ethical management practices – including showing they went ‘beyond the call of duty’ and that its ‘green’ efforts are reflected in its advertising, marketing and sales – to help increase visibility of the topic throughout the industry.

Said Miller, “Taking the environmental approach to business is not just an add-on it requires a complete transformation in thinking across an organisation. Far too many companies have failed to grasp the idea that once you’ve done a full environmental audit – it immediately shows you where you can cut costs and improve profits.

“To be judged in the same league as Dell is a massive honour and recognition of the foresight of the staff, management and the whole supply-chain at Brand-Rex. My profound thanks go to them all.”

Fifth Year At The Top For Brand-Rex

Martin Hanchard CEO Brand-RexFor the fifth year running Brand-Rex, the data networks solutions provider has re-affirmed its leadership position in the UK market for volume of structured cabling systems sold.

The latest independent market research report conducted by specialist building consultants BSRIA – shows Brand-Rex shipping a significant 15 per cent more ‘outlets’ than its closest rival. In product terms. ‘Outlets’ represent complete system solutions, incorporating copper data cables, patch panels, patch cords and outlet sockets.

Martin Hanchard, CEO at Brand-Rex commented, “It is very pleasing to note that although certain manufacturers sell more cable kilometres and others more component units, Brand-Rex remains the preferred UK supplier for fully integrated solutions.“

According to the research, Brand-Rex has 18.6 per cent of the UK market by volume with 1.33 million outlets sold in 2012 compared to the market total of 7.13 million.

A star performer for Brand-Rex last year was its Data Centre Zone Cable product. Thinner than competing 10Gigabit/s cables this innovation has been a real success with installers. By reducing overcrowding in equipment racks and solving the problems of conventional cables blocking under-floor flows of vital refrigerated air, end users and system integrators can more efficiently plan their Data Networks.

“We have secured exciting new UK contracts including Manchester City FC’s new training ground; media companies MTV and Viacom; Odeon Cinemas; The Welsh Assembly; and the South Glasgow Super-Hospital. Brand-Rex has also supported many of the London Olympics venues,” said Hanchard.

Despite the challenging economic climate in the UK, Brand-Rex continues to invest heavily in new product development – evidenced by the launch of its Fibre Superset, a complete range of 10 to 40 Gigabit migratable and 10-to-40-to-100 Gigabit migratable products. Unlike most products these are designed for in-situ re-configuration to higher speeds providing for the much sought after future proofing required by network managers and specifiers.

“Brand-Rex environmental credentials continue to contribute substantially to the company’s success. Brand-Rex leads the industry,” said Hanchard, “we were first in the world to be able to state that our complete global operations were carbon neutral and continue to challenge ourselves every day to further develop this competitive advantage.”

Brand-Rex launches 10GPlus PCB Patch Panel Set

Brand-Rex, the leading supplier of copper and fibre optic based network infrastructure solutions for enterprises, data centres and extreme environments, has introduced its new 10 Gigabit Ethernet PCB Patch Panel Set. It has been developed to maximise flexibility in data centre design by providing a high-density solution that has plug and play functionality.

Part of the company’s innovative 10GPlus portfolio, the PCB Patch Panel Set has been developed in response to the increasing use of 10 Gigabit Ethernet within the data centre. It comprises a ½U shielded patch panel, a 1U shielded patch panel and a consolidation point module. The PCB construction complements the existing Brand-Rex modular Snap-In-Jack 10 Gigabit Ethernet patch panels and the modules can also be pre-terminated off-site.

Supporting 24 ports and delivering true Category 6A/Class EA performance, the 10GPlus PCB ½U patch panel is perfect for applications where space is at a premium and a high-density solution with maximum airflow is required. Eddie McGinley, product manager at Brand-Rex, explained: ‘It is compatible with all standard 19 inch racks and cabinets, enabling 48 terminations in just a single U. Our new patch panel also meets the specific demands of customers that require a very high port density in the smallest possible area.’

The 10GPlus PCB ½U patch panel is designed with four shielded modular units each comprising six ports, and an easy to remove cover that allows the modules to be removed from the panel when required. All panels are backward compatible with Category 5e and Category 6 systems to enable future proofing, and the panel has also been designed with a cable management/strain relief feature built into the rear.

Like the ½U version, the 10GPlus PCB 1U patch panel is supplied with cable ties, mounting accessories and short form installation instructions. Both have plug and play modules that can be interchanged and separated from the patch panel. Although they can be pre-terminated off-site, they also offer a conventional termination method and are fitted with LSA punch down blocks as standard. All ports are identified numerically for both TIA 568 A and B wiring applications and have an additional writeable surface for ease of port numbering.

The 10GPlus PCB consolidation point (CP) comprises six RJ45 ports and can be supplied as a low profile stand-alone module or with mounting brackets. This allows for secure fixing under floors or walls. The cover can be easily removed to gain access to the LSA insulation displacement connectors (IDC) and screen clamps for termination, while the module base and cover are made from a metallised plastic which offers a lightweight construction and excellent screening characteristics.

‘By introducing the 10GPlus PCB Patch Panel Set Brand-Rex offers a high density solution that can fully support the growth of 10 Gigabit Ethernet in high-end applications,’ concluded McGinley. ‘Combined with our world renowned manufacturing excellence, it is part of our ongoing commitment to provide best in class solutions that meet every requirement of the modern data centre.’

Brand-Rex Celebrates 40 Years Of Success

Brand-Rex, the leading supplier of copper and fibre optic based network infrastructure solutions for enterprises, data centres and extreme environments, has reached a significant milestone in its illustrious history by celebrating 40 years in business. The company will take a nostalgic look back as it commemorates four decades of manufacturing excellence with staff, partners and customers over the coming months.

Brand-Rex Ltd was founded in 1972 as a joint venture between Brand-Rex Corporation and British Enkalon to manufacture computer based cabling. Several locations were shortlisted for the company before the ‘new town’ of Glenrothes in Scotland was finally chosen as it already had a large number of high technology companies in the local area and could support industrial growth. Brand-Rex Ltd has remained there ever since and is now one of the town’s largest employers.

The company opened its doors with an initial staff of just 25 – a far cry from the 300 employees that it has in 2012. One member of that original group, George Wright has been employed by Brand-Rex ever since and he and his colleagues were all given £40 worth of vouchers to celebrate this occasion.

The company spent much of the 1970s developing its ethos of manufacturing excellence and, as a result, was soon appointed as a major supplier to IBM in the UK, France and Germany. The 1980s and 1990s brought more success and it launched its first Category 5 cable range in 1992 and then the GigaPlus Category 5e range of solutions in 1997.

After going through various changes of ownership, the new century saw Brand-Rex focus its attention on developing a series of solutions that would cement its position as the premier structured cabling supplier. Installers, consultants and end users looking for ultimate performance and future proofing capabilities welcomed solutions including Cat6Plus in 2002 and 10GPlus in 2006.

In 2008 Brand-Rex was purchased by Murray Capital – bringing the ownership of the company back to Scotland – and has since gone from strength to strength, achieving year-on-year growth thanks to innovative high density solutions including the groundbreaking 10GPlus Zone Cable.

Throughout its history Brand-Rex has always prided itself on its state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities and it recently invested a six-figure sum in its production infrastructure, including the redesign of its engineering and technical office space to double its capacity. The company has also forged an enviable reputation for its environmental credentials and in 2011 announced that its global organisational and operational activities had achieved Carbon Neutral Status in accordance with PAS 2060.

‘The last 40 years have been a remarkable time for Brand-Rex and a look back over the company’s history brings home what a truly unique, innovative and world class organisation it is,’ commented Paul Lines, Brand-Rex CEO. ‘Our determination to exceed our customers’ expectations through a combination of innovation, unrivalled levels of service and manufacturing excellence has served us magnificently over this time and we look forward to continuing to develop the very best products and systems for the next 40 years and beyond.’

Brand-Rex’s Environmental Initiatives Bear Fruit With A Green Apple Award

Brand-Rex, the leading supplier of copper and fibre optic based network infrastructure solutions for enterprises, data centres and extreme environments, has received a Green Apple Award for its pioneering environmental achievements.

The Green Apple Awards began in 1994 and have become established as the UK’s major source of recognition for environmental endeavour. The Awards are organised by The Green Organisation, an independent, non-political, non-activist, non-profit group dedicated to recognising and promoting environmental best practice.

2012 marked the first time there has been a separate event for Scotland and judges were drawn from the Royal Environmental Health Institute of Scotland, the Environment Agency, the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health, the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management and other independent bodies.

Brand-Rex was presented with its Green Apple Award at a glittering presentation ceremony held at Edinburgh Castle. It will now be further assessed with a view to representing Scotland in the European Business Awards for the Environment and will also have the chance to take part in the UK Green Apple Awards at the House of Commons in November.

The company has a long history of environmental awareness and has industry leading green credentials. In 2011 it announced that its global organisational and operational activities had achieved Carbon Neutral Status in accordance with PAS 2060 and it was subsequently announced as a winner at the 2011 VIBES (Vision In Business for the Environment of Scotland) Management Awards.

Initiatives recognised by the awards panel included the replacement of conventional ‘always-on’ factory lighting with daylight and intelligent top-up low energy electric light; replacing the factory’s fuel-oil by natural gas (saving £78,000 per quarter in the process); Over the last year the company has also invested in energy efficient gas heating and optimised its use of this resource by adjusting its building controls programme and relocating room thermostats. The decision to change its roof light panels has also brought energy saving benefits as the additional sunlight coming through gives free heat in the winter which has achieved an immediate winter saving of over £300 per week.

Also acknowledged was the Brand-Rex social responsibility in choosing offset programmes in the countries most impacted by the company’s raw materials sourcing.

For example, a land-fill methane flaring project in Chile – where the copper for their cables is mined and a hydro-dam project in Turkey where the copper is purified.

Over the preceding year, Brand-Rex increased production by 29 million metres of cable but still turned-in an overall carbon footprint reduction of 141 tonnes. An equivalent saving of 1330 tonnes compared to pre-improvement figures.

Collecting the Green Apple Award on behalf of Brand-Rex was the company’s development manager, Kennedy Miller, who commented, ‘Sustainability is at the very heart of our operation and we try to encourage environmental awareness and activity amongst all of our stakeholders and business partners. Having our efforts recognised in the form of a Green Apple Award highlights the importance of this ethos and gives us the drive and determination to do even more to reduce our carbon footprint.’

Brand-Rex Provides Carbon Neutral Cable For Leading Environmental Consultancy

Brand-Rex, Europe’s leading supplier of network infrastructure solutions for enterprises and data centres, has announced another first by having its certified carbon neutral cable installed in the new London offices of leading environmental consultancy, Carbon Clear.

One of the world’s foremost providers of carbon advisory services and carbon offsets, Carbon Clear has offices in the UK, France, India, Spain, Turkey and the USA. The company’s business development manager, Andy Lowe, commented, ‘Our aim is to shape and promote the low carbon agenda. Businesses choose to work with us because our credibility, operational strength, and consultative approach help them achieve their sustainability goals on time and within budget.’

Carbon Clear counts Brand-Rex as one of its clients and has helped it offset all the CO2 produced during its operations, making it the first company in its sector to be verified carbon neutral according to PAS 2050:2008. Kennedy Miller, development manager at Brand-Rex, explained, ‘We have specifically chosen projects related to our business. This includes one in Chile – where 34 per cent of the world’s copper is mined – which captures the methane from two large landfills that is then flared to prevent its release into the atmosphere, resulting in significant emission reductions.’

When Carbon Clear announced its decision to relocate its UK headquarters to York Way in London, it made a conscious decision to only use products with the very best environmental credentials. This policy extended to its structured cabling infrastructure and having worked with Brand-Rex to make its GigaPlus Category 5e and Cat6Plus Category 6 boxed cable ranges completely carbon neutral, Lowe and his team knew exactly where to go.

In order to provide the requisite future proofing, Cat6Plus was the obvious choice, offering high levels of performance and guaranteed compliance with the Class E/Category 6 published standards as an absolute minimum. Andy Lowe said, ‘As well as being technically superior, the fact that from 2009 to 2010 Brand-Rex managed to cut the carbon equivalent of its Cat6Plus cable by 9.64 per cent was a major factor in our decision making process.’

Kennedy Miller added, ‘Getting to a point where we can describe Cat6Plus as carbon neutral has been a complex but highly worthwhile exercise. By establishing the emissions we create – from the sourcing of the base materials, through to transportation and manufacture, and finally to delivery to Carbon Clear – we can ensure that we offset this with investment in projects that produce fewer greenhouses gasses.’

The Brand-Rex cables also carry carbon footprint markings, while the boxes that they are delivered in have also undergone a significant redesign and are now made of extra strength low carbon cardboard. Furthermore, over the next few months Brand-Rex will be phasing out its HDPE plastic inserts and replacing them with a recycled pulp alternative, making all the components of the boxes fully recyclable.

A total of 90 ports were installed throughout the new offices, along with Brand-Rex 24 port angled Snap-In-Jack patch panels that helped to streamline the installation process. The new infrastructure will support the company’s completely cloud based IT platform and will enable voice over Internet protocol (VoIP), video and power over Ethernet (PoE) devices to operate over it.

‘We know that Brand-Rex structured cabling is the leading product of its kind, however, being able to install a system that has been certified carbon neutral helps us maintain our own highly prized environmental credentials,’ concluded Carbon Clear’s Andy Lowe. ‘I firmly believe that as CO2 reduction gets higher up the procurement agenda, cabling manufacturers with carbon neutral products and a verified carbon reduction agenda will be viewed more favourably than those that don’t.’

Brand-Rex Takes High Speed Fibre Optic Cabling To A New Level With SuperSet

Brand-Rex, Europe’s leading supplier of network infrastructure solutions for enterprise and data centre networks, has taken fibre optic cabling to a whole new level with the launch of the new MT Connect SuperSet solution, an ultra high performance, pre-terminated, modular system based on mechanical transfer push?on (MTP) ferrule connector technology.

Part of the company’s innovative FibrePlus portfolio, MT Connect SuperSet provides a reliable foundation for today’s Ethernet, Fibre Channel and Infiniband technologies and will future proof the physical network infrastructure for the emerging 40 and 100 Gigabit Ethernet transmission speeds. Although it can be used in the enterprise backbone, it is ideally suited for installation in the data centre where multiple, point-to-point fibre connections between racks can be quickly and efficiently installed, maintained and changed.

Developed using only the highest quality products, it is based on high bandwidth superior performance, bend insensitive OM3/OM4 multimode and OS2 performance singlemode cabling,

The set comprises fibre optic cables and patch cords, ultra high density panels, connectors, assemblies, faceplates and adaptors. These standards compliant, precision engineered components maintain the integrity of the transmission line, supporting the requirements of higher speed technologies, while offering unsurpassed levels of reliability.

They are designed and manufactured to conform to the ISO/IEC 11801, EN 50173-1 and TIA 568C structured cabling standards, as well as the IEC 24764, EN 50173-5 and TIA 942 data centre cabling standards.

Utilising advanced MTP technology the connector is a multi-fibre ferrule product that accommodates up to 12 fibres in a single row and 24 fibres in dual rows. Fully compatible and intermateable with MPO connectors, the MTP has excellent optical performance and low loss is facilitated by precision alignment of the fibre array using a pair of metal guide pins in the male MTP connector, which mate with corresponding holes in the female MTP connector. It also uses a simple push-pull latching mechanism for easy and intuitive insertion and removal.

On-site installation does not always lend itself to a high performance network and the smallest speck of dust or dirt can have a huge impact on how well a fibre optic based system will perform. Pre-termination eliminates this problem as the module cassettes are made in clean, static free, factory conditions with all the necessary testing equipment and tooling to ensure that every port performs to the necessary standard.

‘Simple to install, operate and maintain, MT Connect SuperSet is the perfect solution for those looking for maximum levels of future proofing and the highest possible performance from their fibre optic based infrastructure,’ stated Ken Hodge, chief technical officer at Brand-Rex. ‘This technically advanced high density system will streamline the move towards 40 and 100 Gigabit Ethernet and the fact that it is pre-terminated ensures fast and reliable installation.’

Ruggedised Armoured Cable added to Siemon’s MTP Plug and Play Fibre Range

Global network infrastructure specialist Siemon, today announced the addition of armoured cable options to its comprehensive line-up of high-performance MTP-based plug and play fibre cable assemblies.

Available in 40Gb/s and 100Gb/s capable OM3 and OM4 multimode fibre cable constructions, as well as standard 62.5/125, 50/125 multimode and singlemode, these plug and play assemblies feature flexible, spiral wrapped aluminium interlocking armour offering over seven times the crush resistance of standard assemblies. This added durability supports rugged-environment intra-building backbone (campus) and horizontal installations and eliminates the need for ducting usually needed to protect non-armoured fibre cable.  Compared to the installation of non-armoured fibre with separate inner duct or conduit, the use of armoured cable can cut installation costs by up to 50 per cent or more for both materials and labour.

Available in 12 to 144 fibre counts in increments of 12 fibres and in custom lengths, Siemon’s armoured plug and play fibre cable assemblies are user-configurable to precise application requirements and efficiently put high-performance, high-density fibre connections exactly where they are needed.

These new armoured fibre cable assemblies join Siemon’s full line of high-performance MTP plug and play fibre optic cabling solutions. Constructed of high-quality fibre optic cable and components for future-proof support of critical links up to 40Gb/s and 100 Gb/s application speeds, the Siemon plug and play system’s factory terminated and tested connections guarantee maximum channel throughput, without the performance variability of field terminations.

In both armoured and non-armoured varieties, Siemon OM3 and OM4 multimode MTP assemblies have passed independent third-party testing by Experior Labs, confirming 40Gb/s and 100Gb/s readiness and performance margins in accordance with the latest IEC 61280-4-1 Edition 2 standard.  These latest IEC testing procedures use new encircled flux methods, which limit the negative impact on the accuracy of multimode fibre insertion loss and return loss test results. Encircled flux compliance reduces test variability by up to 75 per cent versus the previous test methods, helping eliminate false pass results that can degrade overall network performance. The more accurate encircled flux test methods indicated industry-leading performance margins of up to 60 per cent for all Siemon product tested.

To ensure these high performance levels are maintained in every plug and play assembly, Siemon performs 100 per cent automated end-face inspection of all fibre interfaces to IEC 61300-3-30 Ed 1.0 to limit contaminants and surface defects that significantly degrade system performance.  Siemon also tests all of its multimode plug and play assemblies for insertion loss and return loss in both directions for both 850nm and 1300nm wavelengths and ships individual test results with every assembly.

The full Siemon plug and play fibre optic system includes low-profile MTP to LC or SC modules, MTP pass-through adapter plates and an extensive offering of pre-terminated MTP to MTP, and MTP to LC cable assemblies.

Brand-Rex keeps Burson-Marsteller on message

Structured cabling specialists Admiral Group win contract to install Brand-Rex 10 Gigabit/s cabling infrastructure for one of the world’s largest international PR company’s prestigious new London offices.

Brand-Rex today announced that its authorised installation partner Admiral Group has been awarded a contract by one of the world’s largest international public relations companies, Burson-Marsteller, to provide the structured cabling infrastructure for its new London Offices.

Burson-Marsteller decided to relocate its London office from Bloomsbury Way to the Legal & General Property and Mitsubishi Estate Company’s Central Saint Giles scheme – a vibrantly coloured building, designed by Renzo Piano.

The project saw a Brand-Rex 10GPlus Category 6A 10 Gigabit/s structured cabling system installed from a series of four centrally located patching cabinets. The cabling was laid on protective matting in under floor voids to maximise space and protect them. Brand-Rex 24 port angled patch panels are also specified to help streamline the installation process.

To plan the communications infrastructure for their move, Burson-Marsteller called in the services of Luton based Admiral Group, whose director, Adam Sullivan comments, “For Burson-Marsteller, efficient and reliable communications is a key requirement for the smooth running of its operation. Admiral’s brief was to specify and install a future proof cabling infrastructure that could provide assured system performance. Therefore, we had no hesitation in recommending the installation of Brand-Rex 10GPlus Category 6A throughout.”

10GPlus is a third party approved cabling system that not only meets and exceeds the performance requirements in EIA/TIA for Category 6A, but also meets and exceeds requirements in ISO/IEC for Class EA. The 10GPlus system therefore has unparalleled levels of certification and is manufactured in accordance with ISO 14001 and ISO 9001:2008.

Sullivan further remarked, “10GPlus is a great system to use and innovations such as the Brand-Rex tool-free RJ-45 Snap-In-Jack help reduce installation time. Brand-Rex also excels in the level of technical support it offers and answers to any questions are always rapid and easy to obtain.”

With installation now complete, Sullivan explained, “the Central Saint Giles offices were empty at the time of the installation, so Admiral’s installers only had to work alongside the other construction personnel who were on-site. This made for incredibly smooth running and, of course, Burson-Marsteller was able to move in as planned in the summer.

Burson-Marsteller is a leading global public relations and communications firm whose knowledge, strategic insights and innovative programs help drive strong corporate and brand reputations for its clients.  Its London office opened in 1967. Today, B-M operates 67 wholly owned offices and 71 affiliate offices in 98 countries across six continents.

The company’s new St Giles Central ‘home’ is part of a is a state-of-the-art mixed-use development consisting of approximately 400,000ft2 of Grade A office space, 56 private apartments, 53 affordable homes and nine new restaurants and café bars arranged around a courtyard piazza.
